History Of Girls Of Destiny
Pat Chacha's vision started with a personal transition in 2000 and Destiny Light Services - an organization that
does workshops and training for young people developed. From Destiny Light, Girls of Destiny began in 2003
out of the desire to see young women fulfill the destiny God has for them.
Her observation working with teen girls, was that adolescent girls tended to have a low self esteem and some
turned to drugs, alcohol and sex. Others were depressed and had eating disorder issues.
Canadian statistic reveled that a positive concept (self-esteem) appears the key for adolescence girls to
developing good mental and physical health. Girls of Destiny began as a summer leadership, personal
development and etiquette camp.
Our motto is “Shine like Stars in the Universe. Our focus is leadership and etiquette training, personal
development and relationship building, mentorship, education and career counseling, scholarship coaching,
and the arts.
The girls are taught that they are all stars with different degrees of brilliance and that they can make a positive
influence in their communities.
